Summer in the City - Boston

The summer has been very interesting and rewarding. I've worked hard during the school semester so part of my summer reward is to be able to attend concerts and do a few performances myself.

I have been blessed to attend several concerts by some very professional musicians. I started the summer by attending the Taj Mahal Trio at The Cabot (June 2) in Beverly, MA. Wow!, what can I say, I got to witness some skillful guitar playing! I attended the Boy George & Culture Club Concert at the Boch Center Wang Theatre (July 27). The next night, I got to witness the spectacular Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour concert at the Gillette Stadium (July 28).

I have had a couple of opportunities to showcase my guitar skills at different venues around Boston and I am forever grateful to those individuals who gave me the opportunity. I performed at the Fenway Porchfest (June 16). I also was blessed to perform at the Bebop during the Make Music Boston event (June 21). In July, I performed during the Tribute to Senior Citizens at Walkers Park (July 21). Later that evening, I got to share the stage with Tony Wilson, the "Young James Brown", and Brothers Walk Band at the Regent Theatre in Arlington, MA (July 21). That was a very special 60th birthday celebration for a Mrs. Heidi. On Thursday, (July 26) I performed at the Herter Park Amphitheater with Tim McHale of the Boston Minstrels.

I'm starting to incorporate some vocals along with my performances. I'm slowing getting there and looking forward to some improvement in that area as time goes by.

Overall, I have had a very productive and rewarding summer ...and yet, there's more to come!
